Winifred Churchill (1916 - 2008) - sibling of Frederick Churchill

Winnie as she was known was born on Friday 28 April 1916 at Chalterborough, Abbotsham, Devon.

She was the youngest child of James and Bertha and the Auntie I knew the most....


She married William (Bill) Ridd at Rixlade, Abbotsham on the 10th February 1942.

Uncle Bill was attacked whilst at school and knocked to the ground, causing damage to both his legs, he had to use sticks afterwards. 

Uncle Bill passed away 7th August 2008, followed by Auntie Winnie on the 15th November 2008, whilst they where living in a bungalow at Fairlea rest home, Northam, Devon. Their ashes are at Barnstaple Crematorium.
